For all the parents who have already made given their time or made a financial contribution, the school would like to say thank you. We hope this information helps you get more involved with our school, staff, and students.
We invite you to get involved! Contact Us today and let us know how you would like to help Maximo.
The Parent-Teacher Association is a fund-raising parent organization that provides the funds for many Maximo programs and additional materials. The Executive Board is elected in the spring.
The PTA does much more than just fundraising! In addition to the enhancement funds provided directly to the teachers and classrooms and for other support items for the school, our PTA also sponsors wonderful family events, including the Fall Festival, Family Night Dinner, the Reflections Program, and Spring Fling. The PTA helps recognize our students with birthday books, the Principal’s List, the Honor Celebration, and the Citizen of the Month.
School events and activities the PTA sponsors include the Welcome Back Breakfast for Teachers and Staff, K-boohoo Breakfast, Spirit items sales. PTA volunteers help during Meet the Teacher, Red Ribbon Week, Fall Festival, School Uniforms, Parent Education programs, Market Day, Yearbook, Battle of the Books, Spirit Contests, Astro Skate Parties, Spring Variety Show, Teacher/Staff luncheon, Character Kid/Student of the Month publication and support, Student Directories, Reflections, Caught Being Good rewards, and much!
Many of PTA committees require little of your time. They’re not ongoing events but events that take place on a given day. We hope you can become part of this wonderful group.
Goals of Maximo PTA
SAC is a group comprised of parents, student representatives, teachers, and administrators. The purpose of the SAC is to act as an advisory to the principal and oversee the School Improvement Plan and the SIP funds.
In order to volunteer, it is necessary for parents to register as a school volunteer. Background checks are done on all Pinellas County School volunteers. Volunteers must sign in and wear a name tag each time they volunteer in the school. Pre-K students are not allowed to accompany volunteers due to district insurance regulations. For more information on registering, call the Volunteer Coordinator today at 727-893-2191, Ext. 2087.
