Maximo Elementary is a nationally recognized MicroSociety® & Visual Arts Magnet School that offers fine arts, digital photography, state-of-the-art technology, and Accelerated Academic classes. The research-based MicroSociety Program enhances the Math and Social Studies curriculum and transforms classrooms into simulated businesses and government agencies. Students and teachers collaborate with parents, local businesses, and college volunteers to create a microcosm community. Academic subjects are studied during the day and then applied “on the job” during afternoon program activities, called Micro-Time.
